At the age of 12 Nisha lost her mother in a road accident. They she, her mother and her father an army personnel all three of them were out for an vacation to manali.  While returning back from manali their car met with an unfortunate accident.  Her father was driving the car somehow he managed to run out from the car while Nisha and her mother remained in the car. Her mother died on the spot while Nisha sustained few injuries.

Death of wife made her father a stone hearted man he considered himself the murderer of his wife. Ever since her mother's death she lost her father too. His routine now is to drink and abuse Nisha and other family members.  Nisha wanted to run of this house but where would she go.  For her only escape from this house was to get married.  She always dreamt of getting married to someone who would love her and after that living happily forever.

But all dreams do not turn true. At age of 22 she got married to a business man named Rakesh. First year of their marriage went magical. She was happy with the thought she is finally in her heaven. But time had stored something really bad for her. After 1 year of her marriage her husband suffered huge loss in his business and became bankrupt. He along with his parents blamed Nisha for his misfortune. They called her with names 'apshaguni ' . She was once again heartbroken this time much deeper the house on which she had built all her life is now in floods.  As the time passed her husband started abusing and even beating her ( to slap a woman gave him realisation he is still strong and someone still obeys him).Many times she thought of running away but then gave up the thought thinking how long will she run . She thought herself as born misfortunate. 

One fine morning somebody knocked her door.she opened the door and found a girl in her early twenties standing there. She wore light blue jeans and a pink top. Her eyes were  beautiful and curl in her hairs were making her look more beautiful. " hi I am Vani your new neighbour, a tenent in the adjacent house", she introduced herself. "Hi I am Nisha", she said. Vani was student pursuing fashion designing, she was full of life. Soon Nisha and Vani became good friends. Everyday while going to college and in the evening after coming back from college Vani visited Nisha's house without failure. Nisha liked her company to see Vani happy makes her happy , everyday she would cook something for Vani. Vani loved her food and appreciated the taste a lot. Appreciation for her food was something new to Nisha, no one ever praised her for cooking.

It was 19th December when Vani as usual routine went to meet Nisha after her college was over.when she stepped in she saw Rakesh was burning Nisha's hand with cigarette and abusing him.  To her shock even Rakesh's parents were quietly enjoying the episode.  Vani came for the rescue of Nisha and threw cigarette from Rakesh's hand and said "how dare you to treat a woman like this if she is quiet it doesn't mean she is weak". Rakesh was shocked to see a girl being so bold and stood still, Nisha hugged Vani.

Next day when they met Nisha told Vani everything how Rakesh and his family had made her life hell. Vani told her not to tolerate this anymore and suggested her "you cook pretty nice why don't you stay at my flat in Delhi and start your own venture a "tiffin centre". I hope people living away from their families will love your food."

Idea of starting her own venture and getting out of this hell thrilled Nisha. Though she was not confident and was not ready to leave the house. Vani encouraged her and told her" you are maker of your life stop being a victim. Go out world is waiting for you ".

After a deep thinking Nisha finally decided to run away and one fine day she eloped. Today she successfully runs a tiffin centre and cookery classes in Delhi. She wouldn't have been here if Vani had not encouraged and supported her.  

Sometimes All life you wish your family , friends and relatives to be your support system and end up in being lonely. And sometimes  strangers can change your whole life and provide you the support system you needed all your life. They make you realise your talents and show path to happiness , that's life.

मायका

जाडो  की हल्की हल्की धूप मे आगंन में पडी चारपाई पर जमुना बड़ी सावधानी से गेंहू साफ कर रही थी । अचानक उसे अंदर कमरे मे कुछ शोर सुनाई दिया जिसे सुन वह उस ओर बढी देखा तो उसकी 8 साल की नातिन मीरा,उसे काम में लगा देख चुपके से उसकी साड़ी अपने गुडडे गुडियो की खेल के लिए ले जा रही थी। माई को देख बेचारी थोडा डर गई थी, उसके मासूम डरे हुए चहरे को देख अपनी हंसी दबाते हुए जमुना बोली मायके में  करले जितनी बदमाशी करनी है सासरे में कोई नहीं सुनेगा फिर तेरी। यह बोल वो वापस गेंहू साफ करने लगी पर उसका मन उसके अभी अभी बोले हुए वाक्य में कहीं खो गया था। कैसे अम्मा भी बात बात पर सासरे की धमकी दिया करती थी और कैसे वो उसे हंस कर टाल दिया करती थी। 14 साल की थी वो जब  ब्याह कर आई थी अम्मा कितना सच कहती थी ये सासरे आकर पता चला। एक पल में बचपन छिन गया अब वह ब्याहता थी घर की जिम्मेदारियां थी उस पर। अब उसके नखरे सुनने वाला कोई नही था अब उसी को सबकी पसंद ना पसंद का ख्याल रखना था। सससुराल  वालों की पसंद को अपनी पसंद बना लिया। उसका रहन सहन, खान पान, वेश भूशा  सब बदल गया, मानो वह कोई नई व्यक्त...

दर्पण

आज बहुत समय बाद मैंने फ़ुर्सत में ख़ुद को दर्पण में निहारा। ख़ुद को देख कर आज बहुत अचरज हुआ क्या मैं वही दीप्ति हु। बिखेर बाल ,आँखों के नीचे काले घेरे। वक़्त से पहले चेहरे पे झूरियो ने अपना बसेरा कर लिया था और मेरा पेट तो जैसे फ़ुट्बॉल हो गया हो। मन ना चाहते हुए भी बीते सालों की ओर दौड़ चला । आज भी याद है मुझे जब मैंने मिस जयपुर का ख़िताब जीता था उसने धीरे  से मेरे पास आकर मुझे congratulate किया था। वो रोज़ मेरा पीछा करता मैं रोज़ अपने दोस्तों के साथ मिलकर उसका मज़ाक़ उड़ाती। मेरे लिए तो वो मेरा एक आशिक़ था बाक़ियों की  तरह। धीरे धीरे वक़्त बीता मेरी शादी हुई , भगवान ने मुझे दो प्यारी बेटियों की माँ बनने का सुख दिया। वैसे तो मेरे पति अच्छा ख़ासा कमा लेते है पर जैसे जैसे बेटियाँ बड़ी हुई उनकी पढ़ाई के खर्चें बहुत बढ़ गए। घर में पैसों की तंगी के चलते मैंने नौकरी करने का फ़ैसल लिया । आज मुझे नौकरी करते हुए १ साल हो गया है । आज हमारे ऑफ़िस के वार्षिक महोत्सव में वो मुझे एक बार फिर मिला वो हमारे ऑफ़िस के कार्यक्रम में चीफ़ गेस्ट बन कर आया था। जिसका मैं अपना एक आवारा आशिक़ समझ क...
